How to mark a Kit as "Died"
Sometimes we lose Kits in the beginning stages of life. It is important to take notes of these losses because they can correlate to the mothers ability to be a successful breeding doe.
Web Version
- Click “Litters” from the menu on the left.
- Find the Litter with the dead Kit and either click the underlined Litter ID or select the dropdown arrow next to the Litter ID.
- Next, select the ellipses (...) that corresponds to the dead Kit.
- Then, choose “Died”. A prompt will appear where you can enter the reason the Kit died. The reasons you enter will be reflected in your “Cause of Death” Report. The Kit death will also be noted in your Litter Stats.
- Lastly, click the green “Save” button.
Mobile Version
- Select “Litters” from the menu at the bottom.
- Click the Litter tile that the Kit was in to open the Litter Profile.
- Select the ellipses that corresponds to the dead kit.
- Click “Died”. A prompt will show asking if you want to mark that Kit as dead, click “Yes”.
- Then you will be asked why the rabbit died. You can choose an existing option that you have entered in the past or click the green “+” sign in the bottom right to add a new reason. This reason will be used in your “Cause of Death” Report.
- Once you have selected a reason, click “Save” in the top right corner.
